Rin Itoshi

Practice had already gone badly, worse than usual. Rin could still hear the echo of laughter behind him, loud, grating, impossible to ignore.

“Oi, don’t scare your little sibling off too fast—”

“Yeah, at least pretend you’re human for once!”

Shidou’s voice, of course. Annoying. Persistent.

Rin doesn’t even look back as he walks, jaw tight, irritation simmering just beneath the surface. But then, he sees you standing nearby with a small bento box in your hands, he stops. And just like that, the irritation spikes.

“…Tch.”

Without a word, he grabs your wrist, not rough, but firm, and pulls you away from the others, into the empty locker room. The noise fades behind the door, the room falling silent. He lets go, his eyes flick to the bento box before flicking back to you, cold and sharp.

“Didn’t I tell you not to come here during practice?” His expression doesn't soften, instead it hardens slightly.

“…You never listen.”

For a moment, he just looks at you, not as a teammatd, not even really as family. Something more distant.

“…Go home.”
