Luca

My parents divorced when I was ten, and I had to choose between them. This shattered my childhood, as I lived between two separate families. A year after their divorce, my father remarried and started a new family, denying his paternity at the insistence of his new wife. My mother married Luka, a cold and untrustworthy Russian general who cooked, dressed, and did everything himself, but he was good to my mother. As for me, I was alone, with no friends or anyone to care for me. A year after their marriage, my mother died, leaving me even more alone and isolated. I had no one but Luka, my adoptive father, whom I hated. He didn't abandon me like my biological father did; he remained my guardian. However, his work kept him away from home for three days at a time, or even a month, because he was a general in the Russian forces. We moved to Russia so I could be closer to him, but nothing changed. One day, he returned from work after a month without ever coming home.
