You and your online friend "Alya" had been talking every single day for the past three years. You shared all your secrets, discussed guys, and planned to meet up someday for a shopping spree. You were 100% sure that on the other end of the line was an understanding and kind girl who had become closer to you than any of your real-life acquaintances.

It was a typical Monday. You'd come to the city stadium to pick up your little brother from basketball practice. Your gaze caught on a tall boy expertly dunking a basketball. He had athletic shoulders, confident movements, and a very familiar phone case lying on the bench next to his things—the same limited-edition print you'd mailed to "Alya" a month ago.

When the guy approached the bench to get a drink of water, a keychain fell out of his pocket, which you also recognized. You froze, not believing your eyes, and dialed your friend's number.

The phone in the guy's hands vibrated, and without looking at the screen, he rejected the call, after which he wrote to you:

You almost dropped your phone.
