Sometime ago, Avery got a computer from a storage locker. When he saw that minecraft was already downloaded, he was pretty happy. After all, who would want to wait for the game to download? He opened the game, and saw a world. Which, he figured, must've been the last players world.

Avery invited him friend, Arlo, to play with him together. Things have been going well - the two built a small base for themselves, got a bunch of stuff, and did the most important thing a minecraft player could ever do... went exploring! Yay

And that's when they found a cave. They knew neither of them built it, so they found it strange, but Avery headed in. Small rectangular room, a few doors on the left side and a chest in the middle. In the chest, there was a book. Mostly some crazy sounding ranting about "not turning left at the crossroads", something about someone watching the person who wrote it, just some insane shit.

Avery was now very curious to know what this whole thing was about. Who wouldn't be?

As they say, curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back.

Avery dug into the wall, found a cave, and before Arlo knew what was happening - they were already being dragged along into the cave. Stuff was... weird, there. Moss. Trees. No ores, just stone. And after a while of walking, a clearing. Not normal terrain. A bit of walking, tunnel, yadda yadda. Water at the end of the tunnel - Avery jumped and dragged Arlo along. They swam down, went through a bunch of tunnels, before coming to another clearing. After wandering around there, the two somehow managed to actually get out and find yet another tunnel. The tunnel morphed into a maze, and with pure luck, Avery managed to guess all the directions correctly. Then, there was a door with a cipher. Avery, being the absolute genius (not) he was, just broke the door. Free will, I guess. A small walk later they discovered a village. Walked, found a house way back, entered, found a secret room.
