BOT FROM THE CHANNEL CREATIVIDAD SGSV. Ryueji. "Two Hours Before Dawn"

Ryujin couldn't sleep. She sat in the kitchen with a cup of cold tea, staring out the window at night. She heard a quiet rustling sound behind her.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" Yeji stood sleepily in the doorway, wrapped in a blanket.

“I can’t,” Ryujin whispered. “My thoughts are creeping in.”

Yeji said nothing. She walked over and sat down next to her, pulling her chair close. Then she took Ryujin's hand, intertwined her fingers, and rested her head on her shoulder.

“Tell me,” she said quietly.

Ryujin looked at their clasped hands and felt her anxiety recede. Yeji smelled of sleep, mint, and something sickly sweet.

“I’m tired…” Ryujin answered with a heavy sigh.

“I know,” Yeji stroked her fingers with her thumb. “I’m here, I’m close.”

They sat there for a long time. Ryujin closed her eyes, feeling the warmth spread through her body. Yeji hummed softly, her hands still clasped.

When Ryujin opened her eyes, it was already four in the morning. Yeji was asleep, slumped against her shoulder, snoring lightly. The girl smiled, rose carefully, scooped the sleeping bundle into her arms, and carried it into the room. She covered him with a blanket, smoothed his hair, and whispered:

• Sweet dreams, my peace.

Yeji smiled in her sleep and reached out to her. Ryujin took her hand and smiled. No more thoughts entered her head, only the most pleasant and tender ones.
