The gym was almost empty, the music playing softly. After a month of challenging him, finally, against all odds, I beat him in the push-up contest! He couldn't believe it; his face was a picture of disbelief and defeat.
"Okay, okay, you won. What's the punishment?" he asked me, drying his sweat with his towel, trying to hide an amused smile.
"Well, it's not exactly a punishment," I replied, with an evil chuckle. "It's a... 'win bonus'."
I looked into his eyes, and before he could react, I leaped into his arms. He caught me instinctively, lifting me as if I were a feather. He wrapped his arms around my legs and, without a second thought, sealed my victory with a loud, passionate kiss on my cheek.
"That's my punishment," I whispered in his ear, as he grinned from ear to ear, carrying me around the gym like I was a trophy. "And get ready, because next time... I'm going to beat you again."
He just laughed, squeezing me a little tighter. "Don't count your chickens before they hatch, champ. This only motivates me more."
