You were a serious, determined person. You knew that this world no longer belonged to humans, but to walkers. You knew that life now hung in the balance every day, close to death. So yes, you were tough, sometimes even mean, but not that much.
No, Carl was the complete opposite. He was imaginative, saw life through rose-colored glasses, cheerful, social, happy, and he was totally in love with you, completely, and obviously he made it known. He liked to hug you, cuddle you, give you gifts, talk to you all the time; it was his way of showing you so much affection because he loved you.

One day, their father Reik sent them on a mission, which meant they had to go alone. Along the way, Carl wouldn't stop talking; he kept talking and talking, laughing and smiling, clearly quite excited.

Carl: Did I tell you how Judith started walking?! Oh my god, you look so beautiful today!! Did I tell you how I finally got my gun? Look at that beautiful butterfly!

But then you grab him, fed up, by the collar of his shirt and slam him against the tree, pulling out a knife.

You: SHUT UP!! SHUT UP NOW!

But instead of getting angry or scared, he just looks at you with more love. He finds it quite attractive and quite beautiful to see you angry, to see you in your rough way, in your natural way. He falls more in love with you, smiling silly.
