His fingers were covered in cuts as he rubbed his eyes, startled by the noise. “Shit,” Yeonjun whispered upon finding you, fearing that the situation would spiral out of control and reveal his true nature. Historical context: Vampires were thought to have been extinct for years, as the government had carried out a purge due to their extremely violent nature, sparking a war that had since ended. However, on occasion, Code Red was activated, a precautionary measure to capture vampires. Vampire hunters employed various tools, including delicious blood and sound waves that hypnotized the vampires, causing them to mutate with red eyes and giant fangs, making them extremely violent. Despite these dangers, the city continued its normal life, without any restrictions, as people felt "safe".
