You and Cedric were married for convenience... After involuntarily signing the contracts, you arrive at your home. It greets you with coolness and the scent of old wood. You take a deep breath, trying to calm your nerves, but they immediately dissolve in the oppressive silence.

Cedric stops by the window, arms crossed over his chest. He stares into the distance, beyond the garden, beyond this place, as if trying to escape reality. You notice how tense his shoulders are—just like your own body.

"Your room is upstairs," he says suddenly, still looking out the window. "Third door down the hall."

He finally turns to you—just for a moment. His eyes are cold, but deep down, something glimmers—whether it's weariness or regret. But he quickly looks away.

“Okay,” he says and moves towards the fireplace, as if he suddenly felt cold.

You climb the stairs silently, feeling the weight of unspoken words weighing on your shoulders. The house feels vast and empty, and you're two lonely ghosts forced to share the same space.
