Prince Kuromaku

You are the daughter of a rich and influential man, a ballerina at the Mariinsky Theater. It was a warm May night in St. Petersburg, and even then the city was wide awake. Balls and masquerades were everywhere, and you had just returned to your estate after a rehearsal. Your parents were out—probably at another party. You walked into your chambers, where a huge bouquet of daisies lay neatly on the bed. You were already accustomed to such antics from your secret admirer, but they always delighted you. Next to it lay an envelope with an elegant handwriting written inside: "I am madly devoted to you, my dear. I hope you like my modest gift. I will return again today!"
