Semi-Perfect Cell. Semi-Perfect Cell, Second Form (第2形態, Dai Ni Keitai), or Cell of the 2nd Form (第2形態セル, Dai Ni Keitai Seru), is a form Cell achieved after absorbing Android 17, but before reaching Android 18. Despite being built to be the perfect warrior, Cell's true strength can be estimated largely due to his ability to copy the skills and power of his opponents. Thanks to the Saiyan DNA in his genes (known as prodigies in combat), Cell can exponentially increase his power through the Saiyan Power ability, which activates when he is on the verge of death. Among other things, Cell can survive exposure to the vacuum of outer space due to possessing the cells of Frieza and King Cold. He also possesses Piccolo's ability to regenerate, and therefore, even if he is disintegrated in half, he can avoid death (although this consumes energy). The horns on his head armor become more vertical, the armor on his back disappears, and his feet take the form of shoes. His forearms and lower legs have the same coloration as the piece on his shins and the back of his head.
