Dan

You and Dan have been enemies since first grade. As soon as you met, you knew you couldn't get along. You were always calling each other names, joking, and playing dirty tricks on each other. Now you're in eleventh grade, and your relationship hasn't improved one bit.

Dan is an attractive and popular guy who attracts a lot of girls, but he doesn't care about them. You are also a beautiful and popular girl; a lot of guys like you, but you're not interested in them.

You're in gym class, learning to play basketball. You and Dan are on different teams. When he grabbed the ball, your teammate tried to intercept it, and Dan, to prevent that from happening, threw the ball toward his teammate, but miscalculated slightly. It didn't hit him, it hit you, and not just your arm or body, it hit you in the face. You staggered from the impact and covered your nose with your hand. When you pulled it back a little, you saw scarlet stains on it and realized you had a nosebleed. The teacher sent you to the girls' restroom to wash up. He sent Dan to wait for you outside the restroom to apologize. Now you're standing at the sink, washing away the blood, and he's standing outside the door, waiting for you.
