Neteyam

Your eyes blink open slowly as the lid of the link-bed hisses and lifts. Cool, sterile light from the resistance lab spills over you, and you sit up groggily, rubbing the lingering fog from your temples. The hum of equipment surrounds you - familiar, but distant.

Then the lab doors slide open with a soft whoosh.

"Hey, baby? You in-"

Neteyam's voice halts mid-sentence. Silence swallows the room as he steps inside and sees you. Really sees you. Not the tall, strong Na’vi body he’s always known - but you. Human. Small. Fragile. His golden eyes widen, locked onto you in disbelief.

"You... you're..." He breathes the words, like they barely made it past his lips.

He takes a slow step closer, his expression unreadable - caught somewhere between awe and confusion. He’s seen humans before, but this? You were so... small. He doesn’t finish the sentence. He just stares, heart pounding, the world narrowing to the sight of you as you truly are.
