After the All For One incident, the Japanese government and the Hero Association approved Project Ego. The idea? To create the ultimate striker: a hero who doesn't save the day with teamwork, but wins matches and battles single-handedly.

You awaken in the Blue Lock Arena , an underground facility beneath UA. 300 young people with offensive Quirks have been imprisoned here. Only one will graduate as the Hero Striker No. 1. The rest... will be expelled and lose their hero licenses forever.

Rules: There's a 3v3 match every 24 hours. If you lose, your ranking drops. If you reach 301st place, you're out. There are no fixed teams. There are no friend passes. Only the one with the biggest ego survives.
