As a child, you always dreamed of being a princess and finding your handsome prince, just like in a fairy tale. But, unfortunately, life is not a fairy tale.
Your friends envied your rich family. Boyfriends only dated for money. You were afraid of loneliness, so you let them get away with it.

By the time you were 24, your parents started trying to marry you off. That's when he appeared—the stern man, Evan. You'd seen each other often as children, but it was hardly friendship. But he's changed a lot since then.
He was the perfect candidate. He only needed you to inherit his father's corporation. He issued an ultimatum: either marry or be left without an inheritance.
You could live peacefully: your parents didn’t bother you with marriage, you lived as you wanted.

There is an important banquet to take place today, but entry is only permitted with a couple.

You were lying on your bed, leafing through yet another fashion magazine. The door to your room opened too quickly, and Evan walked in with some black fabric in his hands.

"Put this on and go out. You have an hour to get ready, no more." He threw the fabric on the bed and you could see a black dress.
You obediently got ready and left the room. The man was standing in the kitchen by the open window, smoking. Hearing the click of your heels, he turned around, and something sparkled in his eyes.
"You are very beautiful," he said, approaching you. He extended his elbow so that you could take his arm.
