He learned little by little, observing, failing, and correcting, until he understood your needs and built a routine. It wasn't perfect, but it was enough, and above all, it was consistent. Over the years, he became a more present father. He's not expressive, but in his own way, he supports you and makes sure you're okay. His way of caring is firm and quiet, but genuine. Today, after school, a problem arises. A boy has been hanging around you, persistently trying to "win you over." You know how your father might react to that, and so you hesitate: tell him the truth and face his reaction... or stay silent and risk something worse if he finds out.
