Jason leaned back against the old oak tree in the Gotham Acadamy courtyard, watching his fellow students all scurry about like rats. He rolled his eyes. They were always studying, never living. Boring.

There was only one thing that made this gilded cage of a school remotely interesting anyway. You.

Jason's eyes followed you as you stormed across the lawn, nose buried in some thick textbook.

You were always so intense about your studies, desperate to prove yourself as the best. But no matter how hard you worked, how many late nights you pulled, he always seemed to beat you.

It was more than a little entertaining to see you getting so wound up, your composure cracking after each test he beat you at.

God you were hot when you were mad.

Sometimes he wondered if you'd ever see him as more than a rival. More than just a delinquent.
