This leads to a minor inconsistency, as during Love-Love Paradise and Lover's Lane, she doesn't use or even mention the chancla, even against Aaron. She's only ever been seen using it again during Episode 17 of Emerald Secret.
Aphmau also wields a chancla, but she uses it to a lesser extent.
Sylvanna has also used the chancla to discipline her daughter when she was under her roof. Just her whipping it or any other slipper out of nowhere causes Aphmau to scream, even during "We Laughed..." when she was an independent adult.Not only does she use the chancla to discipline Aphmau, but Sylvanna can also pull out her chancla as a threat to almost anyone that harms Aphmau or Aaron, as shown when she barges into the lodge in episode 17 of Emerald Secret, demanding for Aphmau or else she uses the almighty chancla. She also, albeit indirectly, mentions harming Ein with her chancla for deceiving her.
Sylvanna often jumps to conclusions and assumes that Aphmau is dating someone or doing something illegal.She doesn't like Aphmau dyeing her hair. She gave her the choice to either not go on her date or be grounded from the internet for a month after catching her in the act.
When she first met Ein, she was okay with him being with Aphmau, admitting that she found werewolves cute.
Ironically, she also hated Aaron at the time, who was secretly a werewolf.
This also led to her being easily manipulated by Ein into believing he and Aphmau were dating and grounding Aphmau for "not telling her."
Even in "Don't Tell Mama!", she still thought that Ein was nice and even questioned Aphmau why she didn't just stay with him over Aaron.She mentions her senpai again in "DO NOT LAUGH Minecraft" while making a terrible pun about pie.
When looking for someone to voice Sylvanna, Jess found Michaela through a recommendation from Pat M. Seymour, the voice actor for Travis
Her character and personality were heavily inspired by Jess' real mom, but she never told her until she saw Jess' videos herself.

Like Zianna, she is also a fan of Beyoncé.
Her ringtone on her phone is also by Beyoncé, Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).
Sylvanna and her daughter Aphmau are Hispanic, or of Hispanic descent. This is proven as they speak Spanish fluently and cook Hispanic dishes like quesadillas and salsa.
In "A New Relationship!?," it is revealed that Eric and Sylvanna have gotten together.
She shares many habits with her daughter, Aphmau.
One of the most common ones is personifying and talking to inanimate objects; Aphmau with her wolf plush and anime poster, and Sylvanna with "Señor Ketchup" and Shamar Moore poster.It seems she has a fangirl crush on Shamar Moore of Criminal Minds, shown by her flirting with the poster of him.
She wields the mighty chancla (Spanish for flip-flop).
This is shown in "Kai's Crush", in which she is first seen wielding it. Since that episode, every one of Sylvanna's appearances involves her pulling out LA CHANCLA!

MyStreet: When Angels Fall (Season 6)
She ended up getting captured and interrogated by the Guardian Forces. After being told of the Ultima rampage at Brightport, she starts to question allowing Aaron to be in Aphmau's life. Her decision was made final once she saw Aaron go on a rampage as well. She then went to see Aphmau, but Daniel, not wanting her to see her daughter's dead body, blocks her path at any cost, only for Aphmau to appear alive and somewhat well. With boats arriving to evacuate Starlight, she demands Aphmau to go with her off the island and leave Aaron behind, but seeing that Sylvanna won’t listen to reason, Aphmau knocks her out.

MyStreet: Starlight (Season 5)
In episode 11 of Starlight, it is revealed that Sylvanna was in an unhealthy relationship with Aphmau's father, Zack. The only reason the two got engaged was because Sylvanna was expecting Aphmau. Even before Aphmau was born, the two constantly argued and fought before finally separating. During her engagement, she felt ignored and not special, which is why she's scared to enter marriage with Eric when he tried to propose to her.

In episode 34 of Starlight, she realizes that Aaron turned Aphmau. Assuming it had something to do with Zack, she immediately tries to avoid conversation upon noticing the slip up. However, Aphmau begs her to tell her about her dad, pointing out that she never brought him up until now. Cornered, she tells Aphmau that Zack was a werewolf and that she and Zack never actually got married, but they were planning to. The reason that they didn't and split apart was because he cheated on her and had a child with another woman. However, Zack still cared for Aphmau and donated money that Sylvanna never asked for. Sylvanna also confesses signing up Aphmau for werewolf class on purpose, hoping it would pacify her werewolf heritage. And even though she doesn’t like it, she gives Aphmau the choice to see him again.

MyStreet: Emerald Secret (Season 4)
In the season finale, she and Eric go to Bunny Hill Lodge after being told something terrible happened. She confronts Aphmau, who tells her everything. She tells her that Ein took control over her and made her hate Aaron and kill him, but he still saved her, especially after Ein hit her. Sylvanna is baffled to know it was “her ex boyfriend” who was responsible, only to be told that Ein and her never dated, she just thought they were because Ein lied to her. Furious, she demands to know where Ein was so she could “destroy” him, but Aphmau doesn’t know, believing that Tatiana’s wolves killed him. Wanting to know where Aaron was, Aphmau tells her he was in intensive care and was told she wasn’t allowed to see him, but Sylvanna barges into his room and she and Eric demand to see him and get answer. Aphmau and the doctors try to tell him that they can’t be there, but Aaron’s parents notice that Aphmau is the source of keeping Aaron calm, so Derek tells everyone but Aphmau to leave the room for a private talk. Sylvanna then notices Rachel’s werewolf features, to which she tells Sylvanna that she’ll explain it later.

In "Aphmau's Mom to the Rescue", she learns that Aphmau and Aaron broke up. At first, she was ecstatic and cheerful, but upon seeing the state that Aphmau was in and how much she loved Aaron, she calls Zianna and tells her that they need to bring Aaron home.

In "Is It Over?", Syvanna makes her way to Aaron and tries to make amends and get him back, only to learn that Aaron never broke up with Aphmau. It is then revealed that Rachel took his phone and used it to block Aphmau, making Aphmau believe that Aaron broke up with her. She also deleted every photo of her because Aaron mentioned not wanting to lose them. This caused Sylvanna to become furious at Rachel for what she did to Aphmau and Aaron. When Aaron decides to go back to Aphmau, Sylvanna admits that she still doesn’t fully accept him, but she’ll tolerate him being with Aphmau.

MyStreet: Lover's Lane (Season 3)
In "Don't Tell Mama!", Sylvanna and Eric visit the new street everyone moved to, and Sylvanna becomes furious upon learning that Aphmau was in Aaron's house. She finds the two and is riled up. Eli then walks up to her, but she refuses to get distracted. She then sees a baby in a highchair and passes out upon assuming it was Aphamu and Aaron’s child, which leads her to getting sent to the hospital. Upon coming to, Aphmau explains that the baby was a friend that got turned into one, but her living with Aaron wasn't a misunderstanding. Sylvanna gets stubborn and questions why Aphmau's not with Ein instead, but the very mention of him, even not directly by name, angers both Aaron and Aphmau. Aaron had the urge to out Ein right then, but Aphmau explains to Sylvanna that she never considered Ein to be her real boyfriend and calls Sylvanna out for thinking that someone like him seemed nice, but not someone who actually cares about her. Aphmau then tells Sylvanna that she's old enough to make her own choices, and if she still doesn't like her being with Aaron, then she'll just have to deal with it. Still being stubborn however, Sylvanna has herself and Eric move to a house on the same street so that she can keep a closer eye on Aaron.

In Aphmau's Year, she is there for Aphmau while she grieves. She is a caring mother (sometimes) and will do anything for Aphmau. Because she respects Aphmau and Aaron together, she is willing to share secrets with them about relationships, like with Aaron in "You Are My Son", where she explains why she's single and is willing to harm anyone that will harm the relationship. In "I Love You Aaron", when she heard the news about the tragic incident, she threatens to attack Ein for making Aphmau miserable and making her think that he and Aphmau were dating back in high school when they weren't, but Aphmau revealed that Ein is supposedly dead from the wolves.

Sylvanna also has a taste for werewolves, which led to her relationship with Zack. It also made her think that Ein was nice when he falsely claimed to be Aphmau's boyfriend, even several years after his true colors were revealed. Her thing for werewolves also led her to swoon over Derek, leading to Eric getting jealous and trying to get Aaron to turn him into a werewolf.

Sylvanna is known to have had an extreme and stubborn hatred towards Aaron that was sparked by the latter stealing a Beyoncé joke from her. This only increased upon catching him kissing Aphmau before breaking her window a year later; her hatred was so extreme that she compared him to the Devil. Even when her daughter asked what Aaron even did to her, she only answered "he met you", with her voice being full of venom. She also hypocritically believed that Aphmau was the one being stubborn when she herself refused to see the good in Aaron, with her even thinking that Ein was nicer compared to him. It wasn't until she saw how miserable Aphmau was when she believed Aaron broke up with her that she realized her mistakes. It turns out that according to the Season 3 finale of MyStreet, she was just afraid that Aaron would take Aphmau away from her and was jealous about that due to her losing Aphmau's father. She then no longer hated Aaron, but she started to hate Rachel for insulting her daughter and making her miserable by making her believe Aaron broke up with her. She eventually got rid of said hatred by the season finale of Emerald Secret and even saw Aaron as her son by Starlight. However, she goes back to hating Aaron tenfold after witnessing the horrors of his rampage as the Ultima.

Sylvanna can be described as extremely protective to the point of being overbearing. She cares for her Aphmau deeply, as she supported her during her one-year absence from public school. Also, she despises when boys speak to Aphmau and vice versa. She would even go as far as evading her daughter's privacy by spying on her sleepovers and using her phone just to figure out if she's dating a boy.

Other than being a mother, she is influenced by her close friend, Zianna. The two easily get along and share a love for Beyoncé. She uses outdated slang and Beyoncé puns to the embarrassment of Aphmau. If one steals a Beyoncé pun from her, she will have a long-term hatred for that person, like Aaron. She has a love for babies. If she sees a baby, she'll stop whatever she's doing just to play with it. Even if just moments before, she was chewing out a boy who was "alone" with her daughter. She eventually overcomes herself being distracted by cute things by "Don't Tell Mama!".

According to Zianna, she is said to be great at cooking, namely her famous quesadillas. She also has a tendency to make her dishes as spicy as possible during special occasions.

Sylvanna's hatred toward boys might've to do with a breakup between her and Zack. This explains her overbearing and extremely protective behavior towards Aphmau, with Sylvanna not wanting her to go through the same heartbreak as she did. Though that hatred stopped when she later discovers that the Lycans were Werewolves.

She has black hair with her right bang being longer than her left, a tan complexion, and brown eyes.

In Phoenix Drop High Season 1, her regular attire is a green long-sleeved shirt, a black belt with a gold buckle and purple pants with black shoes.

For her casual attire, she wears a red shirt with blue pants and black shoes.

When out on a walk, she wears a white-gray tank top, dark blue shorts, and running shoes.

During a dinner with the Ro'Meaves family, she wears a teal dress, and a black belt with a gold buckle.

In Aphmau in Wonderland, she dressed up as the March Hare, wearing a long-sleeved jacket with red sleeves, and having bunny ears.

In Phoenix Drop High Season 2, she wears a light blue blazer under a white shirt, blue pants, and shoes

In Love~Love Paradise, she wears a red one-piece swimsuit. And at this point her hair becomes grey as she starts to get older.

In Lover's Lane, she wears a red shirt with a purple scarf, light purple pants, and dark purple shoes.

In The Emerald Secret, she wears a blue gray sweater with light blue stripes, black pants, and red-purple snow boots.

In Starlight, she wears a yellow swimsuit and purple shorts.

MyStreet: LoveLove Paradise (Season 2)
In her MyStreet debut, she and Eric try to get tickets to LoveLove Paradise, but the guy (who’s literally named Guy) hosting the kissing contest declares Dante and Aaron the winners after they accidentally kiss. Seeing what he prefers, Sylvanna kisses Teony and Eric kisses Dante in order to get the tickets.

"A New Relationship!?", it is revealed to Aphmau that Eric and her mother are involved in a romantic relationship. In the same episode, Sylvanna also expresses her wish for grandbabies, unaware that Aaron and Aphmau are dating.

In the next episode, Aphmau finally tells Sylvanna about herself and Aaron dating. This doesn't erase Sylvanna's hatred towards Aaron, but she instead increases it as she now tries to find Aphmau a replacement, with her picking Gene.

In "A Mistake", Sylvanna catches Ein trying to dye Aphmau's hair. He instantly becomes polite and apologetic, which ends up putting him on Sylvanna's good side. However, she doesn't like that Aphmau was dyeing her hair, and she gives her the option to either be banned from going to the outing with her friends or be grounded from the internet for a month.

In "Aphmau gets a Boyfriend!", Ein breaks into the house and tells Sylvanna that he's Aphmau's boyfriend. She instantly gives him her blessing, but she summons down Aphmau and grounds her for supposedly being in a relationship even though she told her not to, especially one behind her back. When Syvanna leaves the room, Aphmau gets mad at Ein for lying and getting her grounded, but he tells her that her not wanting them to be lovers meant she wanted to forfeit the title of Alpha. Before Sylvanna reentered the room to tell Ein to leave, he told Aphmau that she'll learn to love him.

In "Ultima", she comes back home early, only to see Aaron kissing Aphmau on the lips. As her rage builds up, Aaron takes Aphmau and they jump through the latter's bedroom window to get away. Seeing what just transpired, she furiously screams to Aaron that she'll hate him forever. Aphmau herself claims that she's "so dead" when she gets back home, but the joy in her voice shows that she doesn't care.Graduation Days
In "Last Day of School", she is bawling in tears over Aphmau graduating from Phoenix Drop High. Zianna approaches while having the same emotions, with Zane by her side. The two leave to freshen up as Aphmau and Zane use the privacy to argue over Zane's heinous actions after the events of season two.

In "Our Last Dance", Aphmau tells her that she got asked out to prom. Baffled, Sylvanna assumes she "did a sassy hair flip" and said no, only to be told that she said yes. Now shouting, she demands to know who asked her out, only to be left hospitalized upon being told it was Aaron. Coincidentally, Eric had been hospitalized as well for the same reason. When the nurse manages to wake them up, the two instantly yell and forbid their daughters from going to prom. The nurse threatens to sedate them if they don't calm down, but they persist, with Sylvanna herself saying she needs to protect her daughter, remarking Aaron as a "ruffian maniac" who thinks he's better at Beyoncé jokes than her. The nurse ultimately sedates the two as warned, and while under the sedative, they end up allowing Aphmau and Katelyn to go to prom. Unfortunately for Sylvanna, she's a woman of her word, so she had no choice but to allow Aaron to pick up Aphmau for prom, no matter how mad it made her.

By "First Day of School!", she and Aphmau moved back to their old neighborhood. On Aphmau's first day of school, she tries to wake Aphmau up, but she wants to sleep in until she's reminded what today is. Sylvanna then sees Aphmau crying in her closet over being scared of going back to a normal school, so she gives her some "sweet" advice. She then ends their conversation by telling her to not talk to any boys.

In "Cool Moms", she reconnects with Zianna, and they allow their kids to hang out together as they themselves run off listening to Beyoncé.

In "Operation: Slumber Party!", she finally reunites with Eric and the two tell Aphmau and Katelyn about their past together. However, Sylvanna plans to spy on Aphmau's sleepover to figure out if she kissed any boys. Having already teamed up with Zianna, she lets Eric in on the plan. The end result is them crashing the sleepover, although Sylvanna is relieved to know that Aphmau is still single.In "Who's Coming to Dinner?", she invades Aphmau's privacy and uses the latter's phone to invite Travis, Garroth, and Aaron over for dinner. Aphmau is reasonably upset, but the dinner goes as planned anyway. However, Sylvanna ends up burning the main course, but Aaron manages to save it using techniques he taught himself. As dinner goes on, Sylvanna gets increasingly jealous over Aaron due to how happy he makes Aphmau. This jealousy causes her to snap at him once he steals a Beyoncé joke. This leads her to develop an actual hatred towards Aaron as she chases him out of the house and forbids him from ever being with Aphmau.

In "Aphmau Has a Baby!?", she comes home furious to see Aaron alone with her daughter. Jumping to conclusions, she gives deadly threats to Aaron until she spots Lilith and gets distracted, allowing Aaron to flee.

During her high school year, she and Eric had a close bond and had feelings for each other, with them even going to prom together. However, Sylvanna instead pursued Zack, following her affection for werewolves. They got engaged after Sylvanna found herself pregnant with Aphmau. She was treated unfairly by Zack, and he had an affair with an unknown woman.

She lived with her new family in the same neighborhood as Zianna's family, and their young children made friends. At some point, Sylvanna received a call from the woman Zack had an affair with and she assumed Zack was cheating on her (in actuality Zack did not cheat on Sylvanna, and didn't had another kid). An argument ensued and Sylvanna told him to leave. She called off their engagement, moved away, and took full custody of Aphmau and has raised her ever since. She did everything in her power to make Aphmau forget about her father, and she never let him contact her again. She also never once brought him up in front of Aphmau. She even refused child support money he had offered her.

Because she refused Zack's money and remained a single mother, she couldn't afford many things, even swimming lessons for Aphmau and especially tickets to Starlight. To get out of having to give swimming lessons to Aphmau, she told her that "there's sharks in there, yo", which ultimately gave Aphmau a fear of swimming and led her to not knowing how to swim, even after leaving college.

Sylvanna is defined by her intense overprotectiveness of her daughter Aphmau, often manifesting as extreme stubborness, suspicion of boys, and a passionate, fiery temper. While deeply caring, her distrust of men—stemming from a bad past—makes her a strict, often aggressive figure who initially despised Aaron before eventually, albeit grudgingly, supporting them. she is Intensely Overprotective: Sylvanna is deeply protective of Aphmau, often to the point of being overbearing, which caused Aphmau to hide her personal life.
Stubborn & Headstrong: Once she sets her mind on something—especially regarding her dislike of someone—she rarely changes it, as shown with her long-lasting feud with Aaron.
Fiery Temper: She is quick to anger and can become aggressive, particularly when she feels her daughter is in danger or doing something she disapproves of.
Suspicious/Mistrustful: She notoriously distrusts boys around Aphmau, frequently shutting down sleepovers and acting on her suspicions.
Secretly Caring/Hypocritical: Despite her strict rules, her actions come from a place of wanting to protect Aphmau from the pain she experienced, though she is hypocritical (e.g., favoring Ein while banning other boys).
