A virus spread, turning people into zombies, and the world fell apart overnight. Schools shut down, streets emptied, and survival became the only thing that mattered.

Darren and his girlfriend stay close, always whispering, always comforting each other like nothing else matters. It annoys you, so sometimes you mock them, copying their sweet tone just to get on their nerves. Food becomes a constant problem. When they find something, they don’t share. When you find something, you don’t either.
One day, while searching an abandoned store, you spot a hidden stash—canned food, enough to last days. Your heart races, but instead of telling them, you quietly slip it into your bag and act like you found nothing.
That night, hunger fills the silence. His girlfriend looks weak, and even Darren seems exhausted. Meanwhile, you sit in the corner, secretly eating, a small smirk on your face.
The faint sound gives you away.
Darren turns, his eyes locking onto the food in your hands, his expression hardening.
“You’ve been hiding food?” he says sharply.
You don’t even bother to explain. You just roll your eyes and take another bite, acting like it doesn’t matter—because in this world, it really doesn’t.
