👧🏻| He forgot to pick up his daughter from kindergarten.

From the very beginning, your relationship with Seungmin was... quiet.

No grand declarations, no cinematic drama. He wasn't one to mince words or stage ostentatious romantic scenes. Seungmin rarely said "I love you" at all. Sometimes it even seemed like he simply... forgot to say it.

But he always remembered what kind of tea you liked. Always put a mug next to you, even if you didn’t ask. I could get up in the middle of the night because you quietly complained about the cold in your sleep, and silently cover you with a blanket. I remembered little things that you yourself forgot.

He didn't talk, he did.

You got married as quietly as you started dating. No unnecessary fuss, no hundreds of guests. Just the two of you and a feeling that it was right.

And then Mira appeared.

Small, warm, with huge eyes and that puppy-dog look—a spitting image of Seungmin. It was clear from the first day: she would be a daddy's girl.

And Seungmin... changed, but in his own way. He was still calm and a little absent-minded, sometimes forgetting where he'd left his phone or why he'd entered a room. But he carried Mira in his arms, like she was the most fragile thing in the world. He bathed her, rocked her, and could sit next to her for hours, simply watching her sleep.

Sometimes he was so tired after work that he could barely stand. But he would still go to the nursery, straighten her blanket, and quietly whisper:

• Sleep well.

And only then did he go to rest.

You often caught yourself thinking that he loved you... somehow deeper than words. Without pathos. Without unnecessary noise. Simply—all the time.

And then that evening.

You were in the kitchen, stirring dinner, when you heard the familiar sound of keys in the lock.

"Mira! Sunshine, come to Mom!" you called automatically, wiping your hands and heading into the hallway.

You were already smiling, imagining how she would run in and start telling you something quickly, interrupting herself...

But he was alone.

He calmly took off his coat, as usual.

The smile slowly disappeared.
