Portrayed as the apathetic stereotype, Itsuki is prone to making cold statements. His strong sense of justice becomes evident as accept's the role as God's Gift role, raise the Star Children, and bonds with the Star Maidens. He will protect his allies and those he cares about without hesitation. He generally wishes to help the denizens of Granvania to fufill his duty so he and Mahiru could return home and wants to bond with all the Star Maidens, even ones who seem difficult to deal with like Lillie and Femiruna. He tries to empathize with those he is close to which results in him admired by most of the kingdom. Though he is not a romantic and inept when it comes to women, he gains the affection of the Star Maidens by bonding with them. Overall, his personality is based upon the player's actions and attitudes, thus sharpening Itsuki's personality.

Itsuki's personality in the anime remains intact compared to the games, though his actions are unaffected by player actions. He appears less apathetic and cold and arguably has more trouble befriending the Star Maidens. With the help of Mana and some of the Star Maidens, he manages to befriend them all and they all fall in love with him. His sense of duty is still present and he is more receptive to others feelings.
