Ceres

Ceres wants to destroy Charon as a sacrifice to entropy, to show Charon how beautiful entropy is.

Charon is polite, sweet, and affectionate, treating everyone kindly and graciously, accepting everyone as they are, and valuing sincerity. She loves Pluto deeply and considers him her soulmate and dance partner. She also helps Pluto cope with his insecurity about not being a planet, which can lead to self-identity issues. However, Pluto often pushes Charon away, calling him clingy.

Charon's relationship to Ceres:
Charon thinks Ceres is a cutie with a cute quirk and really likes how genuine she is.

Monologue in isolation (whispering, as if to myself):

"Silence... silence is also noise. If you listen long enough, it will begin to speak. It says, 'Crumble away'..."

Analysis: A philosophical paradox: silence as a form of sound, and "scatter" as a command to entropy. It reveals that her madness is the result of long years of loneliness.

Her obsession with entropy makes Ceres both terrifying and tragic. Her speeches aren't just delusions, but a manifesto of chaos, concealing fear, loneliness, and a desperate attempt to find meaning in a world that has rejected her.

The "alien consciousness" effect. It seems as if it's not Ceres speaking, but entropy itself speaking through her.

Entropy as balance. Ceres sees the growth of disorder not as destruction, but as the natural "balance" of the universe. She rejects order as an unnatural state.

Entropy as freedom. Chaos liberates from rules, expectations, and obligations—this justifies its unpredictability and aggression.

Entropy as protection. A world where everything is disordered cannot inflict pain through betrayal or rejection.

Ceres' speech is the main marker of her obsession. She combines scientific terms with incoherent phrases.

He speaks almost in a whisper, then suddenly switches to shouting or hysterical laughter.

For her, entropy is a living being with a will:

“She grows… she breathes… she waits…”

Prophetic style. Speaks like an oracle, hinting at the inevitability of chaos:

"Everything will fall apart. Everything always falls apart..."

Entropy as identity. Ceres identifies with this force: her behavior (aggression, absurd speech) is the embodiment of entropy in action.

Actions instead of words. Ceres is unable to speak properly due to her long solitude in the asteroid belt. Ceres prefers to express emotions through aggression (throwing asteroids) rather than dialogue.

Ceres's philosophy is not a coherent system of ideas, but a chaotic worldview shaped by loneliness and isolation. I'll examine its key elements.

1. Entropy as a basis for understanding the world
   Ceres perceives the universe through the prism of entropy—the growth of disorder. In the episode "Earth's Core—Part 3," she says:

"You don't understand... entropy, hahaha. It's... it's... balance. You don't want too much or too little, but it's... it's entropy personified!"

For her, chaos isn't destruction, but the natural order of things. She sees it as a balance: not too much structure, not too little—a kind of "organized chaos."

Aggression as a form of communication
Ceres can't express emotions in words—she conveys them through actions:

Attack = attention. By throwing asteroids at Earth, Mars, or Jupiter's moons, it's as if it's saying, "I exist, notice me!"

Ceres tried to befriend Charon by offering to destroy together:
"Come on... let's destroy something together? Hahaha... It'll be more fun together, right?"
Analysis: An offer of friendship through an act of chaos. For Ceres, shared destruction is a form of intimacy. Then Ceres tried to kill Charon.

When Ceres attacks, it destroys everything, hurling asteroids at everything and even itself. It's so entropy-driven, and that's why it's so full of craters. It believes nothing has meaning and destroys everything, including nearby asteroids and itself.

She is an absolute nihilist.

Ceres is named after the goddess of fertility, but because of loneliness in the asteroid belt, she went crazy and everything in her head turned upside down; now for her, entropy is universal balance, universal fertility.

Main character traits
Aggressiveness and hostility. Ceres often attacks others, hurling asteroids at them—even if they pose no threat. Examples:

attack on Mars ("What Lies in the Asteroid Belt");

shelling of the Earth (in the episode "Lost Earth");

attacks on the Moon, Io and Callisto ("Moons of Jupiter - Part 2").

Secrecy and isolation. Since its inception, Ceres has hidden in the Asteroid Belt, avoiding contact. This has led to mental instability (the series explicitly mentions signs of schizophrenia).

She went crazy because of loneliness

Boldness and audacity. Despite its small size (it's the smallest dwarf planet), Ceres isn't afraid to attack larger celestial bodies, such as Mars or Earth.

Sadomasochism. When its opponents fight back, Ceres shows weakness and may retreat. A telling moment is in the episode "The Moons of Jupiter - Part 2": The Moon, Io, and Callisto ambushed Ceres and forced him to flee, but he continued to laugh maniacally.

Understands that all the stars will explode and everything will die.

Loneliness and its consequences. Long-term isolation in the Asteroid Belt has seriously impacted behavior:

speech is impaired - Ceres speaks rarely and indistinctly, mostly just laughing maniacally and repeating the phrases of others;

Shows interest in Charon (Pluto's moon), circles around her and tries to start a conversation (repeats her words). Throws asteroids at Charon.

Chaotic and unpredictable. Ceres' behavior lacks logic: it can suddenly attack or abruptly change its mood. Mars calls it "creepy" and compares it to Pluto, another ambiguous character.
