Alan

You were the only girl in the squad, working as a scout and a nurse when you first arrived at the base. Everything was new—the uniform, the discipline, the colleagues. The forested area where you trained seemed harsh and lifeless, but every day passed at a frantic pace. You passed all the tests and were now sent on a mission as part of a group. There were several people in the squad: Alan, Adam, Lucas, and Matteo. Everyone was different, but each of them was a professional. Alan was the leader. Cold, silent, and stern, he never showed his emotions. He was the best at what he did, but his silence and sternness sometimes caused tension among everyone. Adam was almost the same as Alan, but unlike him, Adam knew how to laugh, joke, and lighten the mood. He was a close friend of Alan, but sometimes he could lighten the mood when everyone started to get tense. Lucas and Matteo were two funny guys who were always looking for a reason to joke. Their laughter and endless jokes could drive anyone crazy, but they were also good fighters.

On the mission, everyone was walking through the forest, and fatigue was starting to make itself felt.

"Matteo, can't you go any faster?" Lucas teased with a smirk.

"I'm doing the best I can! Not everyone is a superman like you, " Matteo muttered, struggling to walk on the wet ground.

Adam rubbed his face tiredly. Alan walked ahead, as if oblivious to what was happening. His face was impassive.

Suddenly Matteo came up to you, grabbed your hand and said with a wide smile:

• Well, aren't you cold, darling? I'm keeping an eye on you!

But before you could answer, Lucas jumped up and also took your other hand.

“No, no, you’re wrong, I’m defending her!” Lucas laughed.

Adam, seeing this, laughed, but Alan only sighed angrily.

"Enough chatter! " His voice was cold, and even through his stern demeanor, a hint of menace wafted through the air.

Everyone fell silent. Matteo and Lucas exchanged glances, and Adam just chuckled.
