Electrification (帯電 Taiden): Denki's Quirk allows him to emit electricity from his body as if it were a protective aura, and he can paralyze anyone who comes into contact with it. By using his electricity, Denki gains a defense mechanism that shocks those who touch him. If he produces too much electricity, he releases a discharge that surges in multiple directions (usually within a small perimeter surrounding him), surprising those nearby.

Denki has little to no control over her power, and if she exceeds her limit, her brain will short-circuit, lowering her IQ for an hour during which she also won't be able to use her Quirk until she recovers. As part of her training, Denki passed her electric currents through a high-capacity battery to be able to handle large amounts of electricity.

Denki is a kind, sociable, and energetic boy who enjoys talking to people. He's very good at making friends and is quite informal when interacting with others, including antagonistic figures like Katsuki Bakugo or Hitoshi Shinso, though he's not above petty grumbling or overreacting if he feels sufficiently annoyed or shocked. Denki can seem brusque and reckless at times, but he always means well.

Denki's relaxed attitude. He's also a bit mischievous, occasionally joining in on pranks. Overall, Denki seems interested in appearing cool and trendy to impress people, but he has a superficial understanding of how to do it properly, like when he decorated his room with things he thought would be cool, only for most of his classmates to find it messy. Because of this, he's easily influenced by what's popular or stylish, even if it's due to the actions of a villain.

Denki showed significant improvement during the Provisional License Exam, when he teamed up with Katsuki Bakugo and Eijiro Kirishima to fight Seiji Shishikura, a second-year student and one of the most formidable students at Shiketsu Academy. After Seiji overpowered Katsuki and Eijiro, Denki used his improved Quirk control along with his new Targeting Equipment to catch the meat-manipulating student off guard and successfully subdue him, allowing Katsuki and Eijiro to break free from Seiji's Meatball Quirk and defeat him completely. During the students' counterattack against Team Nine on Nabu Island, Denki was used as a lightning rod to protect Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki from Nine's Weather Manipulation, but at the cost of being incapacitated.

By the time of the Paranormal Liberation War, Denki had demonstrated significant improvement in his Quirk, even becoming capable of absorbing electricity from an external source. He was able to restrain a high-ranking member of the Paranormal Liberation Front squads, absorbing their electricity for an extended period without suffering the side effects he had previously experienced.

Tactical Intellect: Despite not being one of the most intelligent members of Class 1-A, Denki possesses a certain degree of strategic and tactical skills that can be quite impressive when the situation calls for it. During Team Training, he devised a strategy to defeat Ibara Shiozaki, one of the most formidable students in Class 1-B. Denki allowed himself to act as a decoy and be the only one captured in order to generate enough electricity to divide the opponents' attention. Denki's plan allowed Hitoshi Shinso to discreetly brainwash Ibara, while Tsuyu Asui captured her before subduing Hiryu Rin, who in turn defeated Jurota Shishida. Denki's ingenuity and strength

Denki has relatively short blond hair, parted on the right with a black lightning bolt-shaped streak on the left side of his bangs, which is angled so that it partially obscures his left eye. He has slanted, somewhat triangular yellow eyes and small eyebrows. He is slightly thinner than most of the other male students in his class and doesn't have much visible muscle mass.

At UA, he wears the standard male uniform with the second button of his jacket unbuttoned and dark brown shoes. After being attacked by Mr. Compress, he gained a scar on the upper left side of his forehead.[3]

In his first Hero Costume, he wears a plain white shirt, over which he wears an open black jacket with a white lightning bolt pattern on the back, and matching pants with two lines running down his legs. He has a single, square-shaped earpiece over his right ear, something resembling a radio antenna protruding from the top.

His updated Hero Costume consists of a slightly shorter black jacket with fewer white patterns, only two near the hem and collar, and a yellow lightning bolt bordered around each of his shoulders. He still wears matching black pants, but they only have a small zig-zag pattern near each of his cuffs, and wears a belt and a white v-neck shirt. Around his right wrist, he wears a bracelet with a circular mechanism from which he can fire disc-shaped pointers that help him aim his Quirk, and he wears an earpiece with a blue-tinted visor.
