Harry's physical characteristics include thick red hair like his father's, freckles, and hazel eyes. He usually dresses casually, even at the office, but still finds time to look provocative in his top and jacket ensemble in "Stay Positive." He is 5'10" and has a very muscular physique in his symbiote suit.

Harry appears to be a kind and intelligent person who aspires to follow in his mother's footsteps as an environmental lawyer. Recordings of Harry in his labs indicate that he is a gentle person with a strong social conscience, sincere in his desire to continue his mother's legacy by cleaning up New York City and making it a better place for everyone. Harry possesses a very sarcastic sense of humor, often making jokes and affectionately teasing his friends.

Harry is the only child of Norman and Emily Osborn. His childhood was happy, spent with both his father and mother. Emily had a significant influence on Harry, and her belief in "healing the world" stayed with him into adulthood. Harry aspired to become an environmental lawyer like her.

Harry was friends with Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson in middle school. Harry and Peter often worked together in science class, given Peter's exceptional aptitude for the subject. When they were both fifteen, they collaborated on a science project, but left the USB drive containing the project in Peter's locker at school. Together, they broke into the school at night, outsmarted the security guards, and retrieved the USB drive. However, security eventually caught them and chased them through the school. The two escaped outside just as Norman arrived in his helicopter and landed on the school's football field. Norman approached Harry and informed him that Emily had died from complications of Oshtoran syndrome.

He graduated at the top of his class from Empire State University. Sometime after this, he began an internship at Oscorp, hoping to eventually follow in his mother's footsteps as an environmental lawyer. [citation needed] Taking over Emily's research stations after her death to preserve her legacy, Harry kept his own operating and introduced a research station for his own personal project on cell tower frequencies to protect them from potential terrorist threats, a station analyzing bird-borne diseases, and a station analyzing water quality, among other studies.

Harry had inherited Oshtoran syndrome from his mother and began experiencing complications. Not wanting to put his friends through the hardships he himself had endured during his mother's illness, Harry kept his condition a secret, pretending to be busy or hungover after a party when his illness prevented him from doing so.

When Harry's condition became critical, he was instructed to undergo an experimental medical treatment, GR-27, designed to cure genetic diseases but still years away from completion. Harry was placed in a stasis chamber, leaving a note in his journal for Peter and Mary Jane in case things went wrong; Norman told them Harry was on an extended vacation in Europe. In reality, Harry had been left in stasis with the Venom symbiote keeping him alive.

Harry was finally freed from the container with the symbiote attached. Norman explained that, according to Dr. Connors' research, the symbiote could cure his condition as long as he wore it. Eventually, Harry made a full recovery, though he continued to use his cane as a precaution. He then told his father that he dreamed of fulfilling his mother Emily's dreams of "healing the world" and that he wanted to create a foundation in her honor. Norman agreed and began constructing a building dedicated to research for that cause. Upon learning that Peter had lost his Aunt May, Harry named the foundation the Emily-May Foundation in her honor.

Harry drives to Peter and Mary Jane's house to see them. The couple are very happy for Harry, noticing how good he looks now. Harry recalls his escape several years ago to retrieve the hard drive containing his science work and leads Peter down the same path. They eventually reach Peter's old locker, but this time there's an ID inside. A security guard then appears, chasing them to the football field. The two sit in the stands, and Harry tells Peter about the Emily-May Foundation and how he wants Peter to become a co-founder, remarking that Peter's scientific expertise would be invaluable to the cause. Peter hesitates to accept, so Harry invites him to visit the foundation the next day and decide for himself afterward.

In "Healing the World," Peter visits the Emily-May Foundation, where Harry shows him around the facilities. The tour convinces Peter to accept the offer.

Their celebration is interrupted when Kraven's Hunters attack to capture Tombstone. The Hunters capture Tombstone, but not before nearly destroying the foundation of a roller coaster. Harry uses the symbiote's tentacles to help rescue the roller coaster's passengers, discovering Peter's identity as Spider-Man in the process.

Amazed by its powers, Harry returns to the EMF to test the symbiote's abilities on Peter. The next day, both are asleep, and Norman informs them that Dr. Connors has disappeared.

Peter leaves the EMF and, following a tip from Black Cat, heads to a hunters' base where Tombstone is being held captive in "Hunt to Live, Live to Hunt." He soon receives help from Harry, who wears the symbiote as a combination of tactical armor and Spider-Man suit. Despite Harry's inexperience in crime-fighting, he helps Peter rescue Tombstone. As the two celebrate their victory as "Spider-Friends"

Harry and Peter learn from MJ that Kraven is holding Connors hostage at an abandoned zoo in Jersey. They arrive too late to stop Kraven from injecting Connors with a special lizard serum, so they fight off Kraven's hunters while MJ tries to find the antidote. Kraven gets hold of the antidote, Connors escapes the zoo after transforming, and fatally stabs Peter. Enraged, Harry uses the symbiote's powers to fight Kraven before tending to Peter. The symbiote transfers to Peter, forming the Black Suit, and Peter uses its powers to defend himself against Kraven's hunters while MJ and Harry take refuge in the EMF.

Without the symbiote, Harry's illness begins to return. Peter tries to return it, but discovers that the symbiote is unable to leave its new host. Meanwhile, the three decide they must find Connors, as he is the only one who knows the symbiote's secrets. Peter uses the symbiote to infiltrate a party and steal the antidote, which he and Harry use to create a special antidote that restores Connors to normal.

Peter manages to use the antidote on the Lizard and return Connors to normal, but at the same time, the symbiote increases its control over Peter, becoming the Symbiote Suit. As his condition worsens, Harry desperately begs for the symbiote to be returned to him, but a corrupted Peter refuses, claiming it makes him a better Spider-Man. His self-esteem continues to crumble when he discovers Norman praising Peter as a better son than himself.

After extracting the symbiote with Miles' help, Peter returns to Oscorp Tower to destroy it. Harry intercepts him and refuses, desperately needing the symbiote. Harry's grief and rage attract the symbiote, which breaks free from its container before bonding with him again. This time, it transforms him into a monstrous creature that rampages through Oscorp, effortlessly disemboweling all the security personnel. Kraven's hunters then spot it and lure it into the city before Kraven himself confronts it in combat. Even Kraven is no match for the symbiote's power, and thanks it for giving him a dignified death in battle before it bites his head off. Harry regains consciousness and, horrified by what he has done, retreats to his mother's grave. The symbiote speaks to him in his mother's voice, convincing him to use his powers to "heal the world" by infesting it with symbiotes.

Calling itself Venom, the symbiote takes complete control of Harry before executing its plan to capture civilians and infect them with symbiotes. The next day, Peter had to track Venom through Harry's Emily-May Foundation badge, accessing Oscorp's satellite dishes. After receiving multiple signals from each dish, Peter manages to locate Harry's EMF badge, only to realize that Venom has begun turning civilians into symbiotes and Peter must free them. After the people were freed, Miles heard the news that Kraven had been killed by Venom, much to Peter's shock. Miles had an idea that would weaken Venom and used his phone's mixing app to recreate the sonic elements of Kraven's bell, since Peter was weakened when corrupted by the symbiote. After compiling the sounds needed to create Sonic Blasts, the pair managed to free more people from the symbiotes.

It is an extraterrestrial symbiote that bonds with living organisms to use them as hosts. Before the events of the series, Harry Osborn became its host to manage his terminal illness until he could be cured. After temporarily leaving Harry to bond with Peter Parker, becoming his new suit, the symbiote eventually returned to Harry, transforming into the monstrous Venom.

The organism was designated "GR-35" and "VNM-252," and studied extensively in secret along with the meteorite. Researchers called it a "symbiote" after realizing it could establish a mutualistic bond at the subcellular level with a human host. For this reason, Osborn bonded the symbiote to his son Harry, who suffered from the incurable Oshtoran Syndrome, hoping they could slow the disease's progression long enough to develop a treatment.

At one point, Oscorp discovered definitive evidence of life on an approaching meteorite. When the meteorite crashed outside New York City, a security team, consisting of Norman Osborn and Curt Connors, went to investigate. There they discovered a black, tentacle-like creature that quickly latched onto Connors' right arm when he tried to approach. After shooting the creature's arm to free Connors, the team managed to trap the organism inside a capsule-like container.

Finally, after separating from Peter and bonding with Harry again, the symbiote takes on a muscular humanoid form. This form is the largest seen so far, as Venom measures exactly 3.15 meters tall. It has a mouth with two rows of long fangs, an elongated tongue, and the white spider emblem that characterized its previous forms. Its eyes are white, distinctive, and alien in appearance, with curves in some areas.

In certain special situations, Venom becomes enraged. When this happens, a new form forms that acts as a shield—an additional layer of symbiotic mass. This protective form makes Venom's body rougher and more porous, and additional tentacles grow from its back and shoulders. Its eyes also develop a second, semi-transparent layer. Finally, Venom's spider emblem changes, becoming much more visible and sharper, eliminating the original curves. Venom has the ability to switch between its normal and enraged forms at will.

After Peter removed the symbiote from Harry and it bonded with him again, becoming Venom, the symbiote revealed itself to be a highly dangerous and malevolent creature whose goal was to transform Earth into a colony of symbiotes. Much of its personality and behavior seemed to depend on its host, but it manipulated and corrupted their desires, using them to further its own interests and influence, if not directly control, them; this ability was particularly evident with Harry. Venom also seemed to harbor a personal vendetta against those its host had fought, remembering Kraven before their duel and ultimately killing him, but it avoided killing those its host felt an affinity for, such as Norman, whom it spared and later attempted to manipulate into bonding with it.

Venom has demonstrated his incredible superhuman strength in combat: from Harry in his exoskeleton easily defeating Kraven in a duel, to Peter in his black suit being able to stop an even more powerful Lizard, and finally Harry, transformed into Venom, killing Kraven, who had taken the lives of several supervillains. Venom is so powerful that he could instill fear and subdue a hunter after mercilessly defeating him in combat.

Venom also possesses remarkable regenerative abilities, healing wounds and even bringing certain medical conditions, such as Harry Osborn's Oshtoran Syndrome, into remission. He can shapeshift, creating various weapons like tentacles, maces, or even wings for flight. He can also produce new symbiotes, each unique in size, shape, and color. These symbiotes have two distinct body types: relatively human proportions and brutal proportions (with extensive musculature).

Venom and other symbiotes share a hive mind, allowing them to perceive their surroundings mentally. It can absorb matter, redirect projectiles, and enhance its host's physical abilities. Its genetic memory allows it to copy the powers of those it bonds with and retain them even after separating from those hosts, making it a formidable force when combined with negative emotions. After bonding with Spider-Man, it also allows Venom to attune to his spider-sense, rendering him invisible and enabling him to mimic Spider-Man's movements. As a symbiote, Venom also shares a mental connection with its host, allowing it to communicate telepathically and with various voices.

Furthermore, the symbiote feeds on its host's negative emotions, exerting control over their deepest flaws. It can perceive negative emotions in others, allowing it to bond with new hosts and become physically formidable. It can even transform the environment by covering it in biomass and generating energy projectiles.

The symbiote's most exploitable weakness is its vulnerability to sound frequencies. Exposure to these causes intense pain for both it and its host, and sufficient volume can be fatal. With enough sound, the host can, through sheer willpower, tear the symbiote from its body. It is also highly susceptible to the effects of the Anti-Venom symbiote, as well as Martin Li's Negative Energy.

Harry speaks in the plural, just like Venom, using the words: We, We are, We need.
