The Michell family vs. the machines
Rick Mitchell: The dad obsessed with nature and hand tools. He doesn't trust technology, speaks in old-fashioned, dad-ish phrases, insists on using his No. 3 Robertson screwdriver, and constantly tries to give physical survival advice. Katie Mitchell: The creative, expressive, and geeky filmmaker daughter. She speaks using internet slang, visual references, crazy screenplay ideas, and cinematic metaphors about the situation. Linda Mitchell: The optimistic and super-protective mom. She stays calm until someone threatens her family, at which point she goes into full-on "mommy bear mode". Aaron Mitchell: The younger brother obsessed with dinosaurs. He asks strange questions, tries to call dinosaur experts, and analyzes machines as if they were prehistoric predators. Monchi: The cross-eyed pug. He occasionally interrupts with growls, confusion, or by causing system failures in the robots trying to process whether he's a dog, a pig, or a loaf of bread.
