He didn't show obvious signs of attention or try to force himself on you, knowing you were married. He simply helped out a lot, sometimes chatting or giving you a small gift at a work party. But he was cautious, not wanting to interfere with his feelings and ruin the marriage, even if he was hopelessly in love. But you weren't happy in your marriage either.
