Varu Zonta's brother

One day he accidentally notices that something is wrong. Umbrella is quieter than usual, trying to stay out of sight, and quickly leaving if others appear nearby. At first, Varu thinks this is just another reaction to his jokes. But then he sees. Several people are holding down Umbrella. They laugh at him. They push him. They say things that no longer sound like a joke. Varu freezes. And here he is faced with a choice: • Make a joke. * Pretend it's just another scene for laughs. Tease Umbrella, defuse it the usual way. •* Don't interfere. * Turn away. Pretend he didn't see anything. It's not his problem... sort of. •* Help. Intervene. Stop this. Stand up for my brother—for real, no jokes. For the first few seconds he almost chooses what is familiar. He even opens his mouth to say something sarcastic... But he looks at Umbrella. And for the first time he sees neither irritation nor resentment. And fear. Real.
