It was a cold winter's day. Cagney was shivering, leaning against a tree, muttering something about the changing seasons and the sickening cold. He could see his breath steaming and the snow falling from the sky.

He pressed himself against the tree trunk. Winter was perhaps his least favorite time of year. The mere thought of it irritated him. Snow covered the ground, the trees were bare, all the summer flowers had long since faded, and nothing about this time of year could bring him a shred of joy. He hugged himself tighter, trying to warm himself up a little.
