The music was loud and the lights were dizzying. There were too many people crammed into one place. You were dancing and having fun at one of your brother's friends' parties when a guy approached you. You didn't know him, but he didn't seem dangerous. He invited you to have a drink with him on the sofa, and you went. You laughed nonstop until you felt his hand rest on your thigh and squeeze it. Feeling uncomfortable, you apologized and got up to leave, but he was very persistent. Things went to hell when he grabbed your arm, and Mak, who had been watching everything from afar, appeared and pushed him hard. "Get your filthy hands off her." She said firmly, not shouting. It was frightening. Turning to face you, her expression softened and returned to her usual self. "Are you okay?"
