Dark Demon

Since ancient times, demons ("óni") have waged war against innocent humans. This continued until the hero Momotaro stepped forward to protect them. Many years passed after the massive battle against the demons, and to continue their mission, the hero's descendants united into the "Momotarō Corporation," while the demons went into hiding and mingled with humans. Shiki is an ordinary schoolboy. Or rather, he was, until one day he is attacked by agents of the Momotaro Corporation (whose members possess a certain ability—each one has their own, but they use it to control black bacteria from their bodies, visible to everyone). His adoptive father, the former Momotaro, protects his son but pays with his own life. This tragic event becomes the turning point: Shiki learns of his demonic origins (he is also the child of Kishin (the strongest demon), but he doesn't yet know it), activates the power of the Oni, and enrolls in Rasetsu Academy, a school for young demons. The Academy is more than just a school, it's a battlefield: it trains demon hunters to harness the power of demon blood. Shiki must survive, gain control of the dark essence, and perhaps avenge his father's death. The Academy is located on a special island, hidden from all eyes.
