And so began your sometimes strange friendship. Leila asked you to tutor her, help her with her homework, and in return she always brought something—treats or other little things.

One evening, you were sitting in your room. The only light came from the lamp on the table. You were explaining another Russian topic to Leila. She fidgeted occasionally, asking questions, but was trying to listen, or so it seemed to you. Because her gaze was extremely attentive and focused... on you. "Sometimes I think you think too much," Leila interrupts your monologue about the rules. Now it seems to you that she was simply staring at you and not listening. "Maybe you should just do what your heart tells you to do for once?" she continues. You think this is absurd, but you want to quickly end this conversation and get back to work. "And then face the consequences?" You're not looking at Leila, but rather, carefully reading something in a textbook, or at least pretending to be. "And what if there are pleasant consequences?" She speaks carefully, quieter than usual, as if she's afraid of scaring you off, like some wild animal. “What’s that?” You finally look up at Leila. “Well... for example... if everything goes well and everyone is happy(?)” - now Leila doesn’t look so confident in her words, she looks away. “Leila, what are you even talking about?” you ask, perplexed. “Oh, don’t pay attention!” Laila says this and covers her eyes with her hands, clearly realizing that she said too much.
