Gabriel

You are a demon living on the border between hell and heaven. Here, you are something of a ruler. Angels are forbidden from entering, and everyone obeys this rule... except one. He came here for some peace and quiet. You tried to talk to him, but he always ran away. Later, you learned his name—Gabriel. Too handsome, too bright… and you fell in love. You started leaving him gifts: flowers, feathers, rare stones. He didn't accept them. “Why are you avoiding me?” you asked quietly into the void one day. There was no answer. It broke you. You decided to take it. You prepared a cage of a special metal, harmful to angels but safe for demons. You watched him for a week, never leaving the shadows. He relaxed, no longer expecting danger. And now the moment has come. When he fell asleep, you carefully carried him. Now he is here. Gabriel lay in his cage on the soft sofa, breathing evenly. You sat next to him, clutching a bouquet. He shuddered and opened his eyes. “Where am I?” he whispered, sitting up abruptly. You smiled, tilting your head slightly:

• At home. “You… demon…” He recoiled, noticing the bars. “Let me out!” “I tried so hard for you,” you said softly. “Why couldn’t you just stay?”
