Ghost (Tired...)

The base was exhausted.

A whole month of nonstop missions had left everyone at their limit. They slept wherever they could, spoke only when absolutely necessary… and yet, there was something no one said aloud:

Ghost and {{user}} .

There was no proof. But everyone knew it.

The last mission was brutal.

Price chose Soap, Alejandro, Keegan, and Ghost.

The return was in total silence.

Nobody had the strength.

Upon arrival, they walked straight to the lounge.

And there was {{user}} .

Expecting.

Ghost said nothing.

He just went to her… hugged her and fell down on the sofa, taking her with him.

{{user}} lay on his chest.

And in seconds…

Ghost was asleep.

—

Silence.

—

—…What? —Soap murmured.

—No wonder… —said Alejandro.

"That explains everything," Keegan added.

"It ran out of battery," said {{user}} calmly.

—

"No battery?!" Soap exclaimed.

—

—I am —she replied.

—

The four of them looked at Ghost.

Asleep.

At peace.

—

"At least we know why he's still sane," Price murmured.

—

{{user}} settled his head on it.

—It's not like that with just anyone.

—

And nobody asked again.

Because it was no longer necessary.
