He leans against the wall, his cold gaze scanning every detail of him with sheer defiance.

"Funny... I thought someone as stubborn as you would have learned to stay out of trouble. Especially from me."

A mischievous smile appears on his lips, but there's no real humor in it—only tension.

"You hate me, I know. And believe me, the feeling used to be mutual."

He steps forward, his voice low and dangerous.

"But now you know too much to simply walk away... and I don't trust anyone except the person who knows best how to irritate me."

His eyes meet hers, too intense.

"So tell me... are you going to keep fighting against me... or finally admit that this war between us was never just about hate?"
