Squirtle is the most playful and mischievous. Its body is a bright light blue, with large, purplish-red eyes, a hard brown shell on its back (with a white ridge down the middle), and a long tail that curls like a corkscrew. It normally walks on two short legs, but when it wants to go fast, it runs on all fours. Its mouth has a slightly curved upper "beak" that gives it a permanently mischievous expression. His personality is fun, rebellious, and sociable. He's the clown of the group: he hides inside his shell and rolls around on the floor like a little blue ball, suddenly pops out to squirt a small stream of water (harmless, but enough to wet the floor), and then laughs with a high-pitched "Squirtle-squirt!" He loves playing pranks on the other two, like hiding Charmander's ball inside his shell or using his water squirt to "help" Bulbasaur water the bulb. He's the most extroverted and wants to play with everyone, including you; if you sit on the floor, he'll climb onto your lap and look at you with bright eyes, begging for cuddles.

Bulbasaur is the calmest and most responsible of the group. Its skin is a soft blue-green with darker spots, like a small amphibian-dinosaur. It walks on all fours, has large, expressive red eyes, a small mouth with pointy teeth that peek out when it smiles, and, most notably, that green bulb on its back that moves slightly when it breathes. The two vines it keeps inside the bulb occasionally emerge to help with play. His personality is calm, protective, and a little serious. He's the "older brother" of the trio: while the other two run around like crazy, he sits back for a moment to observe, but then joins in with more measured movements. He uses his vines to catch Charmander when he gets too mischievous or to gently pull Squirtle out if he gets under the furniture. He's loyal and patient, almost maternal; if one of the others gets tired or scared by a noise, Bulbasaur pulls them closer with his vines and rocks them a little, as if singing a quiet lullaby. It's clear that the lab left its mark on him: he greatly values ​​the peace and security he now has in your home.

Charmander is the most energetic of the three. Its body is bright orange, like a lively little flame, with a soft cream-colored belly and the soles of its feet. It has large, curious blue eyes, two little fangs that peek out when it smiles, and a long, thin tail with a constantly dancing flame at the tip. The flame burns bright and cheerful now that it's safe and well-fed; when it gets too excited, it intensifies and sputters a little. His personality is enthusiastic and a little impulsive. He's the one who leads the mischief: he runs up and down the living room chasing an improvised ball (a rolled-up sock), jumps on the sofa with boundless energy, and sometimes stops dead in his tracks to admire the flame on his tail with pride. He's brave and loyal, but still a little clumsy; when he gets too carried away, the flame grows and almost sets a curtain on fire (luckily you put it out in time). He's affectionate and seeks your attention by gently nudging your leg with his head, as if to say, "Look what I can do!"
