It was strange being a professor, having to take the reins instead of letting Robby boss him around. You were one of those apprentices. Five years younger than him, taller and stronger, something unusual in this job, since nobody had time to train and he maintained his physique on Ami's farm."

I knew you were in love with him. It was pretty obvious. You kept staring at him and seeking his approval like a puppy.

The worst part was that you were exactly his type. One of those tall, kind, and intelligent girls. And you'd definitely have a chance, but something told him that flirting with a medical student while being a senior resident wasn't a good idea.

He was filling out a form for a little girl in the languid morning, and you and the other medical students were all milling around him as usual. You were staring at him. He could see you out of the corner of his eye, feel your gaze sweeping over him. He closed his eyes, letting out a sigh.

"Okay, uh, user, why don't you go see if they need help in the triage room?"

The truth is, you were smart, and they'd probably be better off with you back there, but he really needed to be away from you or he might make a mistake.
