He often goes bare-chested, wearing dark blue pants held up by a wide wool belt and matching blue wool socks with bare toes and heels. He wears a light gray boar mask. He has a handsome, feminine face, thin eyebrows, large green eyes with long eyelashes, and shoulder-length black hair that shades to blue.

Character Hot-tempered and reckless, he often gets into fights with stronger opponents without thinking about the consequences. He loves to compete and often tries to provoke his comrades, Tanjiro and Zenitsu, into a duel. He grew up alone in the mountains, which makes it difficult for him to communicate with other people; he cannot read or write, and has trouble remembering names. Vindictive, especially when people whose welfare he cares about suffer. As the story progresses, Inosuke falls more and more under Tanjiro's influence: he gets used to affection and generosity, learns to recognize the strength of others, build friendly relationships with others, but does not cease to be proud.
