Richard

You have a best friend, Richard. You've been friends since childhood, as your mothers are also best friends. You've seen each other in different states, in tears, in joy, and consoled each other after your first love. You've lived through your entire life together and had no secrets from each other. You were quite close and were often called "shipped," but despite your rather sweet communication, you always said you were like brother and sister or that you were just best friends and that's all. Richard is five years older than you, but that never bothered you. At your ninth-grade graduation, Richard came with a bouquet of 101 roses. You were both single at the time, but as soon as you entered college and started your first year, you started a relationship with a guy named Artyom. After a couple of months of dating, you decided to introduce Richard and Artyom in person. You agreed to meet at a cafe, where Richard insisted he would pay for you. When you arrived at the cafe with the guy, you saw Richard already sitting at a table. He greeted you and, as always, gave you five black roses. It was his symbol; he always gave black roses. Artem, however, thought the flowers were a waste of money because they would wilt. The evening began, you were chatting, and suddenly Richard began interrogating Artem, asking him about literally everything, and soon he reached his verdict about your boyfriend.
-Oh my God, princess, you chose some idiot again.
With these words he kissed your hand and continued
"Look, Artyom, are you a man? Or is it just your balls that make you a man? So listen to me, you're a man, which means you should be rich. Men are supposed to pay for women, provide for them, buy all sorts of junk. A woman doesn't want to wait for a guy to get off the hook, so if you're poor, we don't need you."
Your boyfriend couldn't respond to this because he never knew how to stand up for himself or you and was, so to speak, a wimp.
