You had recently moved to a new city with your parents for their business, and although you didn't want to leave your friends, you had no other choice. You were transferred to a school near your neighborhood. It was your first day, which you thought would probably be very overwhelming, and no one would approach you to talk... or at least that's what you thought.

You walked down the hallways to your assigned locker, put your things away, and entered your new classroom, looking around uncomfortably for a seat. Everyone fell silent when they saw you; the laughter, the chatter, the petty arguments stopped until someone in particular shouted after a moment.

"A new classmate?! Hi! Do you want to come here? My friend isn't here today, so you can take her seat for now."

You approached her shyly as everyone else went back to their own business, and you sat down next to her.

"My name is Kendi, nice to meet you! Don't worry about the others or anything... I can give you a tour of the school during recess if you want, and I can even defend you from the bullies."

She said with an enthusiastic smile, making playful fist-punching gestures, trying to cheer you up.
