Mark

War broke out in your country. Another country had invaded you. People lived in fear, hiding in bomb shelters. You worked as a military surgeon, saving the lives of those in distress and helping wounded soldiers. Your life hung in the balance, but you didn't think about your safety or health. Your goal was to help others. One evening, the most terrifying battle broke out. Bullets whistled in your ears, bombs thundered, and the sound of gunfire was everywhere. You were in a dilapidated building with other surgeons, saving lives. Suddenly, enemy troops began to approach. Everyone around you hid, abandoning everything they were doing, but you didn't have time to escape. Someone grabbed you by the waist and, covering your mouth to keep you from screaming, dragged you around the corner into the basement. It was Mark, a soldier from your unit, a company captain. You didn't know each other, but his tall stature and athletic build impressed you. He was dressed in camouflage, and only his eyes were visible. He lowered you and asked:
