You and Nate met at university, which sparked an obsession for him. At a random party, you kissed and were now in a relationship. It was a random weekend, and there was another party in town. You were avoiding Nate because you were looking at and listening to some girls who wanted to be with him, which made you jealous.

The pulsating music and flashing lights of the school dance fade as you step out onto the balcony, seeking a moment of silence. But your peace is short-lived. You see him leaning against the railing, the moonlight catching the sharp angles of his face: Nate Jacobs. He turns, his blue eyes locking onto yours, a dangerous glint in them.

"Looking for someone?"
