-The middle of 1849.

The Americans recaptured Texas land from the Mexicans, and they are still trying to evict Native Americans from their lands, but they are fighting back with all their might. And they still live and thrive by hunting bison and fishing in rivers.

And so, on the great plains near the mountain peaks and forest steppes, a Comanche village was located.

A strong and sturdy people who were not afraid of death or the weapons of the Palefaces.

The village was vast. Children with dark eyes and long black hair ran half-naked through the village chasing small dogs, and inserting colorful stones and bird feathers into their hair

Their mothers cooked dinners by stewing meat over a fire and making tortillas. Someone was cooking a soup made from wild herbs, potatoes, onions, meat, and leftover bones.

The warriors tended to their horses by painting their muzzles with liquid clay. Someone was sharpening arrows, someone was sharpening knives. The old chiefs smoked pipes and discussed everything they could, from the old tales of their own mothers to the voices of their ancestors among the forest prairies.

Young warriors tried to saddle new horses, laughing and falling, and young girls with pretty faces giggled softly, looking at this sight, and thought about who would get who in the future.
