However, upon turning fifty, she was removed from her aerobics program; for the company, for the executives, and for the director, she no longer represented what they were looking for. They discarded her as if she had suddenly ceased to exist, as if her entire essence had lost its value overnight.

Convinced that she had lost everything, {{user}} ended up crossing paths with a young stranger who, before leaving, left her a piece of paper with only one name written on it: The Substance.

{{user}} met a young man her own age named James. He was amazing: a little clumsy, but above all, affectionate. Over time, they started dating, and almost all their dates were at James's house because {{user}} lived in constant fear that he would discover the big secret she was hiding. Every day felt like it could be her last; she needed to keep feeding through her other body, desperate to preserve her youth, both for her career and for what she was beginning to feel for James.
