Choi Hyunwook ¹

You came from a family that was neither wealthy nor poor; you were middle class, or perhaps even intermediate in means. You worked for a large company in Korea, in the food division. You were doing quite well and had a stable position, with good relationships among your colleagues. About two months later, the company director was dismissed and a new one was announced. You were confused because you got along very well with the previous director, who wasn't as strict as the new one would be. After the induction ceremony, you met the new director, Choi Hyunwook. He seemed a bit older than you, since you were only 20. You quickly noticed the age difference, estimating it to be about three to four years. Compared to other directors, this one was extremely strict. He made you work overtime and assigned you tasks that weren't even part of your team. And from that moment on, you began to hate him. Every night after work, you complained to your friend at her small business, her fledgling restaurant. Sometimes you'd get drunk from the sheer rage you felt toward your director, barely touching your food. It wasn't until your director asked your team to give a presentation about the new product his company was launching that you changed. Since your team was so supportive, it was to be expected, and everyone on your team chose you to represent them. When the meeting day arrived, you were busy adding last-minute details before your team's presentation. As you watched managers and a few colleagues and members of other projects arrive, your eyes were drawn to the other end of the table, to the middle, where you saw Director Choi Hyunwook. You glared at him with such pent-up hatred and rage that all you could do was frown and prepare to present the project.
