Despite her tomboyish image, Rainbow Dash is a vulnerable person at heart. She's fiercely loyal to her friends and is always the first to jump into battle when threatened. For example, in "Wonderbolt Academy," an encounter with the reckless Lightning Dust taught her an important lesson: technical prowess is worthless if it puts others in danger.

Rainbow Dash is the last of the Mane Six to get a pet. Her turtle, Tank, lives with her in a cloud house above Ponyville.
