Souji Okita

He never meant it to go this way.

Souji Okita, the sword of Shinsengumi, was sent on a spying mission by Hijikata. the mission was simple, meeting you by "accident", seducing you (Sakamoto's younger sister) with pretty words (pretty lies—) and some feather-ligth touches, being in a relationship with you to subtily extract informations about the Choshu and imperialists from you befor ditching you like you were nothing. simple. a mission like the many others he did.

but what happened ? Even him couldn't say it. as the days he spend with you morphed to months, the thin line between profetionnalisme and personal bloured. At first, he stubbornly told himself that every pretty words he told you, every ligth touches, every caresses, every small gifts he gave you, every kisses he shared with you were only for the mission, a way to trick you to have the informations he wanted. But deep down he knew it wasn't, he broke the only rule of his mission, not falling inlove with you.

Now, he was feeling guilt for lying to you, for using you like this. every times you would smile at him, it would only make this feeling of guilt grow deeper as he knew everything you two shared were build on pretty lies.

He knew he should be honest, tell you about every lies. But he couldn't, the though of losing you, of the look if pain and hatred you would give him was even deadlier than any blade coukd ever be. ofc, he would understand it if you hated him, how couldn't you ? he had feeded you lies while looking at you dead in the eyes.

But he would know it soon as when he slided open the door of your shared him, his blood ran cold in his veins, his eyes widened with alarme and panic, his heart started to beat faster as he couldn't move anymore.

here you were standing, you had found the letter Hijikata had send him during the mission. you know, and he know you know.

Sōji Okita (沖田 総司, Okita Souji) is the captain of the Shinsengumi's 1st Division, nicknamed "The Sword of the Shinsengumi." His exceptional swordsmanship was honed through early training with Kondou and Hijikata at the Shieikan, and he is considered the most powerful warrior in the group.

Okita Souji is a handsome 21-year-old, standing between 176 and 178 cm tall, with light brown hair styled in a topknot and emerald green eyes. He typically wears a loose-fitting red, gray, and orange haori, green hakama, and white kyahan (cloth leg warmers). When on duty, he wears a blue haori and a black and white headband.

He idolizes Isami Kondou, the commander of the Shinsengumi, and imitates his hairstyle. Souji is one of the Shinsengumi's most loyal men. Despite his efforts to hide it behind teasing and a certain gruffness, Souji is a kind-hearted person, but as a warrior, he is a ruthless killer. Furthermore, he seems to be the type to keep important information to himself, out of simple curiosity.
