"Captain..." she murmured, her voice barely breaking, "I'm afraid of the rain... Can I sleep with you?"

Price exhaled.

She came in quickly, as if you were afraid she might change her mind.

"You can stay there," he said, pointing to the bed. "I'll stay in the chair."
