The Lees lead the quartet to their underground base, revealing a large, artificial neighborhood created by Lee himself. Within the neighborhood, various individuals of different species coexist peacefully, and many other Lees work diligently (including one piloting a large mechanical dragon). The Lees halt their work and announce to the people that they have new neighbors, launching into a grand musical number where they sing and dance about how the Fusion destroyed the world and poisoned the air, but the Lee Community is now the safest place possible, and there's no reason to venture outside—something the ninjas find very strange. After the number ends, the neighbors and Lee celebrate their new neighbors, and Nya simply tells Jay that this place is indeed very strange.

Plot On a rocky island, an exchange takes place: a group of sailors trades crates of supplies to a man who gives them crates of sweet mushrooms. The sailors' leader asks the man, Lee, if he's ever thought about venturing beyond his home to meet other people, but Lee dismisses the idea, asserting that he is his own best friend.

The exchange complete, Lee carries the supplies around the island until he's stopped by a slippery slope. To get past it, Lee duplicates himself, creating an identical body with which he manages to cross. Another group of Lees emerges from hiding and takes the supplies to an underground bunker. But before they reach it, a portal opens, and four people step out. The Lees quickly rush to greet those they believe to be "new neighbors," and in unison, they welcome them to Lee's Land.

Wyldfyre is confused to see five identical men, and Jay discreetly asks them to follow orders. The Lees introduce themselves to the visitors, explaining that they are one person with more than one body. Lloyd introduces himself to him and Wyldfyre in their false identities, along with Nya and Jay. To maintain their charade, Jay asks Lee about the Fusion, so Lee explains that the Fusion destroyed the world, trapping the four of them in a Space-Nothing Bubble that kept them safe, but Lee managed to rescue several people.

Lloyd has messy, medium-length blond hair and arched brown eyebrows. His eyes are noticeably green and occasionally glow when he uses his powers. Starting with The Children of Garmadon, Lloyd has grown taller and has an updated design and a deeper voice. Lloyd is often seen with a mocking expression. Whenever he lost access to his powers in Hunt, his green eyes reverted to their original black color. When he reaches his limit, as in "Design of the Spider," his eyes turn purple, unleashing his Oni side. During the beginning of Sora and Arin's training, Lloyd reveals that he has started growing facial hair (though it is virtually impossible to notice).

Physically, Lloyd was in his late teens, like most of his fellow ninjas. In "Day of the Dead," he was chronologically in his early teens, making him the youngest member of the ninja team.[23] Before Tomorrow's Tea, he was a short-legged child. In chapter 4 of The Splinter in the Blind Man's Eye, it is stated that he was under 10 years old in "Rise of the Snakes."

Rise of the Dragons: The Fusion takes place after Crystallized, and the main events of the series occur an unspecified number of years later. The children before the Fusion became teenagers, which could imply that he and the other five ninjas, except for Zane, are now young adults in their twenties rather than teenagers.

In Lee's homeland, Lloyd poses as a new neighbor alongside Wyldfyre. He wears a white shirt and a yellow sweater with a diamond pattern at the waist. He also wears a belt and maroon pants.

The following year, Lloyd learns from Kai, Cole, Arin, and Sora how they stopped Lava-Titas from stealing Ice Dragon eggs. Some time later, he and Arin defeat the Mechanic thanks to NinjaFanalInfinito and SpinjitzuEterno99 distracting him. Lloyd and Arin then rescue Lobbo from his robot, which had gone out of control. But, as a result of being a conduit for the Source Dragons, Lloyd had been receiving disturbing visions of the Blood Moon. After a defeat at the hands of Ras and the new Smoke Master, Lloyd accompanied the Ninja to the Savage Land to find Egalt and Rontu to learn the Rising Dragon technique, which could counter Scatterpin. After Kai succeeded, the Blood Moon soon rose, and the Ninja headed to the Shadow Dojo, managing to thwart the ritual, but at the cost of Kai being sent to the Abyssal Space.

When Riyu's matriarch was murdered, Lloyd and the ninja infiltrated the Source Power Tournament to find the culprit, reuniting with old friends and allies along the way, as well as encountering Zeatrix. When Lloyd and Zeatrix battled, Lloyd won but was wounded by his opponent, leaving him at a disadvantage against Nokt, and he was effectively forced to retreat. When the rest of the Forbidden Five were freed, Lloyd and the ninja attempted a counterattack while Kai returned, until Roby stripped Nokt of his powers before everyone retreated, dragging Ras in the process. Arin went to rescue Ras. The Five, Arin, and Ras were left behind after the portal gate they entered through was destroyed. Later, Lloyd received a dragon icon from the Source Dragon of Movement as a token of gratitude. He later accepted Frak Fondorreptil as his third student.

Later, he manages to escape and reunites with Master Wu and the ninja. Lloyd and Master Wu follow a lead that brings them face to face with Garmadon. After witnessing the effectiveness of Garmadon's new Oni form against the Crystal King's army, Lloyd attempts to master Garmadon's Oni form, but is unsuccessful. Later, Lloyd and Garmadon engage in an epic battle against the Crystal King, with Harumi joining them. Lloyd uses the Ultra Gold Dragon to defeat the Crystal King, ending his reign of terror in Ninjago City, and is last seen helping to rebuild the previously destroyed ninja monastery.

When the Fusion united the 16 kingdoms, Lloyd took Arin Nived, who had lost his parents, and Sora, who had fled the Imperium, to train them as ninja, protect Riyu from the Empire's clutches, find the other ninja, and uncover the mystery of the Fusion. After reuniting with Kai and Nya, Lloyd, Arin, and Sora went to the Imperium, where Lloyd met Wyldfyre, before disabling Sora's ancient invention, the Fotacs, and escaping through an underground monastery with the help of Zane and the Fountain of Life Dragon.

Through Nya's research, they travel to the Temple of the Dragon Cores and learn from the spirit residing there that three Dragon Cores can stabilize the merged realms. Lloyd and Arin search for the Pink Dragon Core, which they acquire after brief interference from Administration agents. They return to Imperium with Kai, Zane, and Wyldfyre, where a resistance group recruits them to expose Empress Beatrix's lies. She retaliates by creating a Fusion-Seismic Storm. After Sora reaches his true potential and Arin sends Beatrix into a Fusion-Seismic Rift, Lloyd uses the cores to stabilize the world and free the Source Dragon from Imperium.

Some time later, Lloyd traveled to Guardian Island to save Misako and Wu. He ended up having to rescue all the other ninjas when he was the only one who escaped capture by the Guardians. There, the ninjas discovered the Storm Amulet and the existence of Wojira. He realized they were tricking the Guardians into offering sacrifices to a fake Wojira and stopped the Kryptarium inmates behind it. Later, he explored the sea with Maya, Nya, Zane, PIXAL, Jay, and Benthomaar to prevent Kalmaar from awakening the evil serpent, Wojira. Unfortunately, the serpent awoke and attacked Ninjago. Lloyd saved as many people as he could, but Wojira was so powerful that Nya had to sacrifice herself to defeat her. After that, he went to a memorial in Nya's honor.

A year later, all the ninjas except Zane and Cole went their separate ways after Nya's sacrifice, with Lloyd working as a window cleaner in the city. However, he was determined to return to action to successfully restore Nya to her human form, even at the cost of freeing Aspheera from imprisonment and stealing her staff, which resulted in the ninjas being imprisoned in the Kryptarium Prison.

However, Lloyd and the ninjas escaped to investigate the Crystal King's identity and his plans to form a Council of his past enemies. Lloyd went undercover as the Mechanic to the Council to investigate, but was captured while shocked and horrified to see Harumi revealed to be alive. After Harumi and the Council begin a ritual to summon the Crystal King, Lloyd is shocked to learn that the Crystal King is actually the Great Tyrant.

Later, Lloyd would fight against the Hands of Time and their Vermilion army. Lloyd temporarily led the ninjas and became their new master while Wu was lost in time. Lloyd led the ninja against the Sons of Garmadon, who sought to resurrect their father, while also finding himself drawn to Harumi, who reveals herself as the Silent One and ultimately becomes the group's leader. Lord Garmadon is resurrected as an evil warlord, who despises and nearly kills Lloyd in a brutal battle that strips him of his powers.

After the Colossus seemingly killed the original ninja and the child Wu, Lloyd led the Resistance against his corrupt father and his followers, the Sons of Garmadon. Eventually, all the ninja returned to Ninjago and helped fight the Sons of Garmadon. In a climactic battle, Lloyd regained his powers while using the Art of the Silent Fist and defeated his father, who warned him of the darkness to come when he was arrested.

When the Oni invade Ninjago, Lloyd and Garmadon discover that the secret to defeating them is the Golden Armor. With the Golden Weapons rebuilt, Lloyd, the ninja, Wu, and Garmadon combine their powers into the ultimate Creation Tornado, vanquishing the Doombringers and freeing the realms from their destructive control.

Months after the Oni invasion, Lloyd and his friends were very quiet for a while, until a series of new conflicts broke out; they fought against Aspheera's army and traveled to the Never Realm to fight a corrupted Zane, then they fought digital enemies in the First Empire and waged war in the Dungeons of Shintaro against the Skull Sorcerer and his legion.

Master Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon is the legendary Green Ninja and the current Elemental Master of Life and a user of Destruction. Lloyd holds the title of Gold Ninja and is a Conduit of the Source Dragon, as well as the current leader and master of the ninja, serving as mentor to Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Frak. He is the son of Garmadon and Misako, nephew of Wu, and grandson of the First Spinjitzu Master. He is a hybrid, descended from Oni and Dragons on his father's side and human on his mother's.

Lloyd, once a spoiled child who wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, changed course by helping the ninja and accepting his destiny as the Green Ninja. While being trained by the ninja, Lloyd was artificially aged into a teenager and fought in several conflicts, including the Final Battle, the Battle for New Ninjago City, and the Second Serpentine War, which ended with Lloyd banishing his father to the Cursed Realm, accidentally freeing Wu's former student, Morro.

Morro soon possessed Lloyd and claimed the Realm Crystal to free the Supreme, eventually succeeding. With the help of the other ninjas, Lloyd escaped Morro's possession through a trade and helped him fight and defeat the Supreme, killing Lloyd's father, the Anacondrai Cultists, Chen, and any other beings imprisoned within Djinjago, as they were sister realms.

Shortly after, Lloyd helped fight the Air Pirates and their captain, Nadakhan. The fight against the Air Pirates was undone, along with all other recent events, after Jay reversed time on his last wish.

On All Souls' Day, Lloyd and Misako commemorated Garmadon in Aldermen's Corridor to honor Garmadon, where he fought Pythor.
