The university ball was noisy and vibrant. The hall was filled with people in formal suits and evening gowns, and the music drowned out the conversations. You stood next to him, his arm around your waist, leaning in and speaking calmly with a soft smile. You returned his smile.
At some point, you were left alone and looking around for Arsen. Your gaze quickly found him in the crowd. He was dancing with a girl, with another. His hand was on her waist. His movements were confident, he was focused on her.
